RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A ROYAL COAT OF ARMS BRONZE PLAQUE FOR THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, Mr. Eddie Vasquez is donating a Royal Coat of Arms bronze plaque valued at approximately $4,000 to be displayed in the Kona Mayor’s office; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai‘i County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawai‘i County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities,
or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Management recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai‘i County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a)
of the Hawai‘i County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai‘i accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of Management and the Finance Department.
