Re. Eradication in Hawaii County for Year 2000
Chairman Aaron Chung, I urge you to vote NO on Resolution 246-00, for marjuana
eradication money from the D E A. If County of Hawaii had no other pressing issues, if
the local economy was soaring, if all the schools were properly maintained, if all the
residents of this county had adequate food and housing, if all other county agencies had
all the resources they needed to carry out their fobs properly - then perhaps we would
have the luxury of yet another spraying operation.
However, since MOST of the items listed above are still pressing problems in our County
and since the great economic boom that has propelled the mainland into the
stratosphere has not yet reached the gentle shores of East Hawaii - and since
eradication is a big waste of time disturbing our neighbors by pilots who ignore their
rules of engagement flying recklessly and since this program pours noxious ~hemicals
onto the aina of Hawaii I ask you to end this expensive, delusional and
counter-productive program NOW
Thinking carefully, let's put our land, our peoples and our limited resources
TO BETTER USE.
