SUBJECT: Transmitting Bill No. 16, Draft 2; An Ordinance Amending Ordinance
No. 06 28, Which Amended Section 25-8-33 (City of Hilo Zone Map)
Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(2016 Edition, as Amended) by Changing the District Classification from
Agricultural (A -la) to Neighborhood Commercial (CN-20) at Ponohawai,
South Hilo, Hawaii, Covered by Tax Map Key: 2-3-036:018 (Por).
Transmitted herewith is Bill No. 16, Draft 2. During its meeting on February 4, 2025, the
Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions Committee amended Bill No. 16 with the contents of
Communication Nos. 76.2 and 76.3, resulting in the attached draft.
The Committee then voted to forward Bill No. 16, as amended to Draft 2, to Council with a
favorable recommendation.
