Subject: Support for Res. 51-25, Hualalai Court Workforce Housing Project
Aloha Council Members,
Thank you for your approval to move Resolution 51-25 for Hualalai. Court Affordable Workforce
Housing through committee.We appreciate your commitment to finding affordable housing solutions
within our community.
I am writing in support of Res. 51-25 to build 104 affordable apartments in Hilo.
The gap between local wages and the high cost of living, including housing, makes affordability a
persistent issue. Many residents are priced out of both rental and homeownership markets. We need
affordable housing at all levels of affordability. The workforce housing project is a perfect opportunity
to support many hard working families that are part of the missing middle class gap.
Please support Res. 51-25 to build 104 affordable apartments in Hilo!
Thank you for working to improve our housing affordability crisis in our community, so local families
can thrive at home.
