I support Hualalai Court.
I support Hualalai Court because it ensures people can afford to stay in the community they
love. There are so few housing options at this AMI level, especially at such a location as this
project. When housing costs are too high, families and workers are forced to move away to
the mainland, where a job might be able to offset housing costs better(only slightly). Their
out-migration creates tangible gaps in our schools, businesses, and essential services. By
building more workforce housing, we can create opportunities for people of all income levels
to live and thrive here. This helps preserve the diversity and strength of our community,
keeping it vibrant and growing for future generations.
