Hualalai Court Affordable Workforce Housing wilt provide 10,4 rental housing units for individuals in the 80-100%AMi range who provide essential community programs and services-program managers, social workers,educators,firefighters,nurses,police officers,county employees,and many more. Our Kama'aina are leaving the Island because they simply can't afford the cost of Hawaii's housing and rising living costs anymore. This housing positively supports local organizations with the ability to attract and retain professionals by providing an affordable housing option.And,as families move into HuataEai Court Affordable Workforce housing,it will di ctly benefit other individuals within the community by freeing up previously occupied units for others,doubling the positive impact. Hualalai Court Affordable Workforce Housing is a special project an many levels,with a 100% affordability period of 53 years,benefiting multiple generations of Hawaii families. One of the most common questions I hear young adults asking is,if my parents can't afford housing,. how will I be able too?It is so difficult watching our younger generation making the hard choice to leave family,friends,and the only community they've ever known for the mainland. Additionally,it is also one of ten priority projects highlighted by Governor Green, nd the sole Tier ii project funded by the State of Hawaii on Hawaii island,a huge win far everyone.
