Subject: Support for Hualalai Court Workforce Housing Project
"Aloha Council Member Kagiwada,
I am writing in support of the Hualalai Court Affordable Workforce Housing application to build
104 affordable apartments in your district.
My name is Brianna Martin. I was born and raised in Honolulu, HI and currently attend Pacific
University in Oregon. I am 21 years old and in the process of completing my undergraduate
degree in Elementary Education. After completing my education, I plan to come home to teach.
A limiting factor, however, is the high cost of living. This project would not only help current
residents be able to stay in Hawai'i but would also allow college-bound keiki to come home after
college and bring their newfound skills back to our community. Please support this project as it
would help and support our entire island community.
