I was born and raised in Honoka'a on the Island of Hawaii and currently attend Pacific University in Oregon. I am 21 years old and in the process of completing my undergraduate BS in Public Health with a minor in Biology in hopes of attending optometry school. After completing my education, I plan to come home to bring Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy to Hawai'i Island. A limiting factor, however, is the high cost of living. This project would not only help current residents be able to stay in Hawai'i but would also allow college-bound keiki to come home after college and bring their newfound skills back to our community. Please support this project as it would help and support our entire island community. Mahalo! Emily Souza f[ f C6001D6...'
