A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE 2025 EASTER FUN DAY IN THE KA‘Ū
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, provides a diversified recreation program that addresses the needs and interests of the respective communities in
a safe environment at County recreation facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division plans, conducts, arranges, or promotes organized recreation, athletics, crafts, and other leisure-time activities for all age groups at recreation centers
and facilities throughout the County of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is planning to host an Easter Fun Day event on April 18, 2025, at three locations in the Ka‘ū district: Kahuku Park in Ocean View, Nā‘ālehu Community
Center, and Pāhala Community Center, which will include variety of activities and refreshments to all participating keiki in the community; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase Easter eggs and candy, arts and crafts supplies for keiki activities and refreshments for the 2025 Easter
Fun Day; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation for its 2025
Easter Fun Day in the Kaʻū district.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
