Greetings County Council Members & Staff:
Merriam Webster's definition of the word plaque expresses its meaning
as: A flat plate, slab, or disk that is ornamented or engraved for mounting, as on a wall for decoration.
It is incorrect to identify this donation as a ROYAL COAT OF ARMS BRONZE PLAQUE. _
The only ROYAL COAT OF ARMS OF THE KINGDOM OF HAWAI'I was officially adopted by the Legislative
Assembly in 1845 during the reign of Kamehameha lIl. The ROYAL COAT OF ARMS OF THE KINGDOM OF
HAWAI'I was commissioned by Timoteo Ha'alilio, the King's private secretary and royal advisor, the Reverend William
Richards.
The ROYAL COAT OF ARMS OF THE KINGDOM OF HAWAI'I today represents the Kingdom of Hawai'i
Restored by HRH King Ali'i Nui M&I Edmund K. P5M - Silva II, Kahu Ahu'ena Heiau. There is only ONE
REPRESENTATION OF THE ROYAL COAT OF ARMS OF THE KINGDOM OF HAWAI'I as there is only one
RESTORED Kingdom of Hawaii at Ahu'ena Heiau Kamakahonu, Kona Hawai'i.
Let history and all recordings in Hawaii County and elsewhere on Earth represent and proclaim truth!
