A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF SERVICES TO PURSUE FEDERAL AWARDS AND ASSISTANCE.
WHEREAS, Ulupono LLC, a limited liability company, is donating supportive, consultive, and technical services for pursuing federal awards and assistance to the County of Hawai‘i Office
of Sustainability, Climate, Equity and Resilience; and
WHEREAS, these services, valued at approximately $90,000, will help to optimize the County of Hawai‘i’s efforts and improve the County’s ability to maximize federal funding opportunities;
and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, provides that the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Sustainability, Climate, Equity and Resilience recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I, , in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, the County of Hawaiʻi, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Office of Sustainability, Climate, Equity and Resilience, the Department of Finance, and
the Office of Management.
