This issue has been approved as part of the County General Plan since 1 q59, as part of a necessary netvrork of access expansion In the Kaumsna area. The recora Ind cafes many levels of community meetings and discussion, formal public hearings and a Finding of No Significant impact (FONSI) in 1998. The intent of all roadway protects in the area Is to provide several safe, efficient, alternative routes to allevlata congestion and open up convenient ecceae from Koumana m Waiakea, encourege traffic dispersal along several corridore InGuding Mohouli, Puamako and Ponahawal. This is along-term project with federel, state and county participation and will provide much needed linkage forthe growing populatbn mauka of Komchana Street. We encourage concerned parties tc consult directly with quellfled traffic management speclallsts and engineers to resolve perceived concerns.
