RESOLUTION NO.
STATE OF HAWAI`I
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a
later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi -year leases for
five (5) years, for nine (9) mid -size 4x4 trucks; and
WHEREAS, these trucks will be utilized by the Department of Parks and
Recreation's Parks Maintenance Division and are needed to perform work duties
to maintain clean and safe park facilities island wide; and
WHEREAS, these trucks will replace nine (9) inoperable vehicles within the
Department's current fleet; now therefore,
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year leases
for the equipment as indicated above, for the Department of Parks
and Recreation.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the
agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of Management,
the Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Department of Finance.
