In the current Budget Ordinance 24-32, $110,000 is appropriated in the Office of the Prosecuting
Attorney's Substance Abuse Prev Coord (federal) account. Through the same grant agreement,
state funds in the amount of $7,100 are also being provided by the State of Hawaii, Department
of Health.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this
additional $7,100 in state funds.

Requesting to amend the budget ordanice 24-32 to establish new revenue and expenditure accounts,
estimated revenues and appropriations totaling $7,100, for our existing Substance Abuse Prevention
Coordination Grant.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Department of Health's, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division has been the pass through agency for Federal
Grant Funds for this grant. This current fiscal year 2025, the Department of Health is providing State funds
in addition to the Federal grant funds. This request is to establish a new revenue and expenditure accounts
to properly account for the additional State funds.
