Written Testimony for Resolution 91.25
Aloha Honorable County Council Board Members,
On the behalf of grassroots 501(c)3 non-profit organization- "Rana Laulima Lahui O' Ka'u
Inc.", we strongly request and kindly ask for each one of your supports to appropriate $5000.00 to
fund our 91 Annual Prince Kuhio Day Event to be held at Naalehu County Park on March 29, 2025
9am to 3pm which will consist of Hula, Music, Food, Arts & Crafts, Cultural Exhibition along
with. Hawaiian games and different Resource Organization fills the park for a fun drug -free event
that brings unity to our community. Different youth clubs, churches, sports clubs and entrepreneur
small business has the opportunity to raise monies from the sale of their unique products. This
event is a mini -model of the bigger concept of building a new "Kau Hawaiian Cultural Center"
which will be daily instead of a one day event. County Funding will be utilized for the events
Advertisement budget, Music Sounds System and an open Portable Stage rental, for the same as
last year's funding request that made the event a great success.
With that, our apologies for unable to be presence at the hearing, but we humbly ask again
for the support and approval of the $5000,00, "Resolution 91.25" to fund our 9111 Annual. Prince
Kuhio Day Event 2025' that will benefit the whole community and more.
Mahalo in advance to our District Councilwoman Michelle Galimba for all she does for
our community and beyond.
