Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by increasing the General
Fund's Fund Balance from Previous Year account by $70,000,000 and appropriating it to the
Provision for Compensation Adj-G account. The budget revision is required to provide funds to
pay for Temporary Hazard Pay for all covered employees for work performed during the
COVID-19 pandemic from March 2020 to March 2022.
