Aloha County Council,
This testimony is in support of the resolution to begin negotiations to purchase the5ina of Kawainui
Makai (TMK 2-7-11:01 & 2-7-10:27) in perpetuity by the County through the
PONC process.
I am Jessica Hamad, community member and resident of Pepeeke and newer member of Makahanatoa
Fishing. I am always in favor of public access and sharing the beauty of natural resources with
community.
We/l urge the County Council to approve this resolution to enter negotiations to purchase lower
Kawainui as a unique and beautiful estuary with strong community involvement.
