SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 24, Draft 2; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
CHAPTER 25, ARTICLES 1, 2, 4, 5, AND 7, OF THE HAWAI`I COUNTY
CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO
TELECOMMUNICATION ANTENNAS AND TOWERS.
Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Bill No. 24, Draft 2. The amendment is shown
in Ramseyer format with respect to the content of Bill No. 24, Draft 2; material to be inserted is
underscored.
SECTION 5 of Bill No. 24, Draft 2, which amends chapter 25, article 2, division 7, section 25-2-
74, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by amending
paragraph (8) to read as follows:
"(8) Documentation of proactive efforts made to notify, meet with, inform, and
engage adjacent landowners and the affected community within five hundred
feet of the proposed installation and notification by certified mailings within
five days of application submission regarding the proposed use;"
A copy of the new draft of Bill No. 24, Draft 2, that would result if this proposed amendment
were adopted is not attached, due to the limited scope of the amendment.
