Dear Mr. Hayashida: We, the undersigned East Hawaii Taxi Operators, service the HILO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT here on the Big Island. Due to the size of our island and proximity of airports on either side of the Island, attending the only public hearing on the above mentioned matter in Kona on March 25, 1997 would be an obvious hardship for us and for our passengers. We, therefore, are requesting that the Department of Transportation consider holding a similar public hearing in Hifo so we may all participate in the process.
