RESOLUTION NO. <br />1.22 25 <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br />lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br />later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi -year <br />agreement for three (3) years, with the option of two (2) years renewal to manage <br />and operate the fixed route transit system for the Mass Transit Agency; and <br />WHEREAS, the selected contractor will provide drivers to operate County - <br />owned buses for specified routes and provide their own buses and drivers to <br />service the balance of the routes; and <br />WHEREAS, the selected contractor will also provide management, <br />personnel, dispatching, maintenance, and other services to ensure transportation <br />services are carried out; now therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year <br />agreement with two (2) option years for the services as indicated <br />above, for the Mass Transit Agency. <br />
