Re: Lot 8 at Crossroads, Lanlhau, North Kona
Dear Members of the Council,
I am writing on behalf of the Honl's Beach Association and have the following concerns
regarding the sale of the Crossroads parcel.
There has been much discussion about the possibility of this crossroads parcel being
ppart of a land exchange for the acquisition of the Honl's Beach parcel now owned by
SoBay Hawaii.
I would like to thank the Council members for supporting Mr. Tyler's Bill for the
acquisition of this beach parcel for a public park
I have submitted over 3,000 signatures to the Mayors Office from the residents of
Hawau County in support of a Beach Park at Wai aha Bay. This shows strong
community support for this acquisition andior exchange.
This being the last remaining white sand beach in Kona is a treasure that should be
pres®rved for all.
I support the sale of the crossroads lot and would like to see the proceeds sei aside
to help with the purchase of the Wai'aha Beach parcel.
Thanks you for your time and consideration on this very important matter.
Sincerely, / /
t/~
Michael Varney
