RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH
REPLACING ITS KEIKI ID EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, the Police Department's Community Policing Officers partner with the
community to create a safe and secure environment, especially for the keiki; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department provides free keiki IDs throughout the year at
community events around the island; and
WHEREAS, a photograph of a child is taken and laminated onto a department -issued
identification card with emergency information about the child, which is then given to the child's
parent(s); and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting funds to replace its keiki ID printer
machines, printer ink, and a toolbox to be able to transport keiki ID items to community events;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Police Department
to replace its keiki ID equipment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Ilawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Chief of Police and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
