v Of <br />Ji <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />�rE•cs•N�r+ <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH <br />EXPENSES RELATING TO ITS HI -PAL PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, HI -PAL (Hawai`i Isle Police Activities League) is a community youth <br />program under the Police Department that provides youth with recreational activities in a safe <br />place and promotes sportsmanship, benevolence, friendship, common interests, sociability, <br />goodwill, and tolerance; and <br />WHEREAS, the HI -PAL program provides social and athletic activities for Hawaii <br />Island youth between the ages of 5 and 17, which include school dances, canoe regattas, BMX <br />bike rallies, rodeo events, and boxing, fencing, basketball, and fishing tournaments; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting funds to assist with purchasing medals <br />and items of achievement in this fiscal year to recognize youth that participate in sports activities <br />under its HI -PAL program; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Police Department <br />to assist with expenses relating to its HI -PAL program. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNTOF <br />APPROPRIATION: $4 ill <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.201.5215.62 Police Department <br />HIPAL OCE <br />235 Misc Materials & Supplies <br />(HI -PAL — Medals and Items of Achievement) <br />'� 111 <br />
