RE: Resolution No. 241-00
Authorizing Sale in Fee Simple of Lot 6 of "Crossroads" Property
I would like to propose adding the following language to Resolution No. 241-00:
"WHEREAS, on June 19, 1998, the Council adopted Resolution No. 279-98, requesting the
mayor to negotiate with SoBay Hawaii, Inc., to acquire the beachfront parcel at Wai`aha, North Kona,
Hawaii, identified by TMK: 7-5-18:20 for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, on March 22, 2000, the Council adopted Bill 198, which amended the Capital
Budget in order to acquire the Wai`aha Bay property identified as TMK: 7-5-18:20.
BE [T FURTHER RESOLVED that the proceeds derived from the sale of the subject property
(TMK: 7-5-04:63) shall be used solely for projects in the North Kona district, with first priority given to
the acquisition of lands of Wai`aha, per Ordinance No. (Bill 198), unless otherwise directed by
the Council."
