A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH REPLACING
ITS KEIKI ID EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, the Police Department’s Community Policing Officers partner with the community to create a safe and secure environment, especially for the keiki; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department provides free keiki IDs throughout the year at community events around the island; and
WHEREAS, a photograph of a child is taken and laminated onto a department-issued identification card with emergency information about the child, which is then given to the child’s parent(s);
and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting funds to replace its keiki ID printer machines, printer ink, and a toolbox to be able to transport keiki ID items to community events; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Police Department to replace its keiki ID equipment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
