A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE HAWAIʻI POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PROMOTE
PUBLIC SAFETY AWARENESS.
WHEREAS, the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Community Policing is committed to providing the highest quality of police service and forming partnerships with the community to achieve public
satisfaction making Hawaiʻi Island a safe place to live, visit, and conduct business; and
WHEREAS, in partnership with the community, the Hawaiʻi Police Department is committed to enforcing the law, protecting the peace, and preserving the spirit of aloha on Hawaiʻi Island;
and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting funds to purchase a speed radar and items to promote public safety awareness such as car seats; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Hawaiʻi Police Department to promote public safety
awareness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
