SUBJECT: Transmitting Bill No. 30, Draft 4; An Ordinance Amending Section 25-8-
33 (City of Hilo Zone Map), Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning) of the Hawaii
County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended), by Changing the Zone
Map Classification from Single -Family Residential — 10,000 square feet
(RS-10) to Neighborhood Commercial — 10,000 square feet (CN-10) at
Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii, Covered by Tax Map Key: 2-2-036:113.
Transmitted herewith is Bill No. 30, Draft 4. During its meeting on April 2, 2025, the Council
amended Bill No. 30, Draft 3, with the content of Communication No. 157.6, resulting in the
attached draft.
The Council then suspended Rule No. 23-1(d) and passed Bill No. 30, as amended to Draft 4, on
second and final reading.
