Re: Nomination of Alexandria "Lexi" Ayers of South Kona to the Leeward Planning
Commission.
Aloha Council Chair Inaba and Council Members,
I am pleased to nominate Alexandria "Lexi" Ayers of South Kona to serve on the Leeward
Planning Commission.
Ms. Ayers was born and raised on Hawaii Island and has lived in both North and South Kona,
where she currently raises her young family. As a proud graduate of Konawaena High School,
she understands the values and challenges that local families face on the West side.
Ms. Ayers is a realtor and an active member of our island community. For almost two decades,
she has volunteered with the Hawaii Isle Police Activities League (HI -PAL), participating in
various operational volunteer roles. Giving back to our youth and West Hawaii communities is a
family tradition for her.
If confirmed, Ms. Ayers will replace Ms. Barbara DeFranco and serve a term that ends on
