Gamayo of Council District 1 to the Cultural Resources <br />Commission. <br />Aloha Council Chair Inaba and Council Members, <br />I am pleased to nominate Darde M. Gamayo from Council District 1 to serve on the Cultural <br />Resources Commission. <br />Ms. Gamayo has been a lifelong resident of Hawaii Island for fifty-seven years. She proudly <br />raises her family in Honoka'a and Waipi'o Valley, where she and her husband own property and <br />farm in one of the most culturally and historically significant areas on earth. <br />Ms. Gamayo is a well-known radio personality with Pacific Media Group, where she utilizes her <br />talents to share island culture, historical facts, and local values. She has a unique ability to <br />connect with our community through the KAPA airwaves. <br />If confirmed, Ms. Gamayo will replace Ms. Natalie Kurashima and will serve a term that ends on <br />December 31, 2029.
