and Natural Resources Preservation Commission.
Aloha Council Chair Inaba and Council Members,
|am pleased to nominate Maya K. Goodoni of Council District 9 to serve on the Public Access,
Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission (PONC).
Ms. Goodoni was born and raised in Kohala. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental
Studies and a Master of Science in Tropical Conservation Biology and Environmental Science
with a focus on Watershed Management from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo. She is a
watershed specialist with the H8vvGi'i COx8| Reef Initiative.
Ms. Goodoni actively volunteers in our community with the Waikbloa Dry Forest and Kohala
Watershed Partnership. Her past experiences and accomplishments make her particularly
qualified tOserve OnPC)NC.
If confirmed, Ms. Goodoni will replace Kamuela Plunkett and will serve a term ending on
