Subject: Regulate Small Cells
Hawaii County Council,
Please support the amendment to include small cells in Bill 24. The Director misspoke when he said
small cells couldn't be regulated here. Wireless technology is constantly changing and the ordinance
must keep pace. Several years ago the County adopted a resolution to halt 5G small cells. They are a
novel and an untested technology that has raised alarm bells around the world and caused dozens of
local jurisdictions across the country to regulate deployments.
All Hawaii counties need an ordinance that includes small cells, so be the example for the state that is
long overdue!!!! Arigato
