Aloha Hawaii County Council PCLUED Committee meeting,
I am voicing my concern over the prospect of more small cells in our county.
We are asking the PCLUED committee to amend the definition of "Telecommunications antenna"to include small cells.
Regulate small cells.Please support the amendment to include small cells in Bill 24.The Director misspoke when he said small
cells couldn't be regulated here.Wireless technology is constantly changing and the ordinance must keep pace.Several years
ago the County adopted a resolution to halt 5G small cells.They are a novel and untested technology that has raised alarm
bells around the world and caused dozens of local jurisdictions across the country to regulate deployments.Big Island needs
an ordinance that includes small cells.
More airbnb's are asking for these&God knows,the Big Island does not need more wireless radiation.Let's preserve the
natural atmosphere of Hawaii¬ bring this to our people&animals.
A careful study of these must be done first to protect our most vulnerable which are autistic children, all children who have
smaller skulls &fragile kupunas.
The United States' new Secretary of Health & Human Services is campaigning to reduce the number of these
installations, which can only be installed in pre-determined safety zones. It is proven that they affect our most vulnerable
and bees &wildlife.
I would like all people to not have this safety risk to live with. Comm. : , `

It seems like a waste of taxpayer money if the US government is working on shutting many of them down after safety
studies have been determined that the placement is detrimental.
