BILL 37—AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 24-32, AS AMENDED, THE
OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
ENDING JUNE 30, 2025
The Hawaii Government Employees Association, AFSCME Local 152, AFL-CIO strongly
supports the passage of Bill 37; which makes an appropriation to cover the cost of
temporary hazard pay for eligible county employees who worked during the COVID-19
pandemic from March 2020 to March 2022.
We respectfully request that this measure be passed to cover the cost of temporary
hazard pay for eligible employees within the County of Hawaii.
