Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Pamela H. Hons of Kamuela (Council District 9) to
the Hawaii County Water Commission to replace Edmund W. Hohu of Hilo
(Council District 1), whose term expired on December 31, 1999.
Mrs. Hons is a 44-year resident of Hawaii and is presently retired. Prior to her
retirement, she was self-employed doing business as Decorating and Such by
Pam, Inc., (1981-1998). Mrs. Hons is a member and volunteer of Hospice North
Hawaii, Inc., and is a member of the Hawaii County Liquor Commission, a
position from which she will resign contingent upon her confirmation to the Water
Commission. She states that she has no political party affiliation.
If approved, Mrs. Hons will serve a term to end on December 31, 2004. Should
the Council need further information regarding this submission, you may call me
at your convenience.
