RE: Comm. 200: Nomination of Rebecca Kawehi Inaba to the Leeward Planning Commission
Aloha Esteemed County of Hawaii Council Members,
As an introduction, I am Gayle Greco. It is an honor to write in support of Kawehi Inaba's nomination to the
Leeward Planning Commission.
In my role as a Secretary and Treasurer on the Board of La`i`opua 2020, I've had the opportunity to work
alongside Kawehi and witness a leadership style that is both principled and independent. She leads with a strong
moral compass, guided by a deep commitment to what is right, not what is popular or politically convenient.
Her ability to remain clear-headed, fair, and grounded, especially in the face of complex issues, is something
I've come to deeply respect.
Kawehi takes the time to listen before acting. She weighs different perspectives with care and never rushes to
judgment. Her decisions are rooted in fairness, and she approaches each matter with transparency and integrity.
She does not shy away from hard conversations, and she is not easily swayed by outside pressure—traits that
are essential for a role that demands impartiality and thoughtful judgment.
With experience across sectors, from business to nonprofit to community initiatives, Kawehi brings a unique
ability to bridge differences while staying true to her values. She is guided by kuleana and aloha, and she
always puts the needs of the broader community first. Comm n ,i1 I

Kawehi would bring a steady, fair-minded, and independent voice to the Leeward Planning Commission. I fully
support her nomination and am confident in the positive impact she will make.
