Subject: Testimony in opposition to Resolution 74-25
I am writing in opposition to Resolution 74-25. 1 am concerned about the wording of the MOU with federal authorities.
realize cooperation between our police department and federal authorities is often helpful. However I am concerned
that the wording should be careful to not involve the police force in enforcing ICE taking of immigrants which is often
done without due process. Under the Trump administration there are more and more actions not in keeping with our
laws and not respecting court rulings, free speech and many other steps which I find troubling. I advise caution with any
MOU with federal authorities that are being led by this administration.
Please do not join the Trump administration in taking our freedoms away.
