Regardless of their legal status, they have been rounded up. Arrest first, find facts later, in violation of due process. Beyond immigrants, we are witnessing the use of police to silence dissent, which threatens the rights of everyone, including citizens. I do not want our police force which, as expressed in a recent community meeting in Honoka'a with Mayor Alameda, are much appreciated and trusted. Let's not turn them into ICE agents, or agents enforcing a federal agenda to punish all who disagree with president Trump's views. Let's not deviate from the traditional functions and relationships of the Hawaii County police department. Thankyou. Meizhu Lui Papaaloa coma. T,- Ref.
