Testimony in OPPOSITION of Resolution 74 - 25: ICE MOU.

Aloha Council Members and Mayor,
My name is Melissa H, and I am writing in strong opposition to
Resolution 74 - 25: ICE MOU because it will negatively impact
I believe it would be a waste of our tax dollars and local
resources that we are already lacking of in many other parts of
our community as well as an overreach of authority into state
and local matters.
Allowing the Hawaii Police Department to engage in
immigration enforcement undermines public safety. This
resolution does not protect our community; instead, it fosters
division and distrust. 1 strongly urge the committee to oppose
Resolution 74-25 and protect the integrity of our local law
enforcement.
