Subject: Strong Support for the Trap -Neuter -Vet -Return -Manage (TNVRM) Pilot Project
Aloha Chair Inaba, Vice Chair Onishi, and members of the County Council,
The TNVRM pilot project's strategy will focus on four key areas: expanding access to care,
reducing shelter intakes, driving community engagement, and establishing a comprehensive
community animal information hub, which will include a cat help desk. These four pillars are
designed to better serve our community and our animals.
By investing community resources into assisting both owned pets and free -roaming populations,
we can achieve better control over time at a lower cost.
Supporting this pilot program will provide significant help to our community, environment, and
the animals we care for, allowing them all to thrive.
