Kimo Alameda, dated March 27, 2025, <br /> requests the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of Darde M. Gamayo to the <br /> Hawai`i County Cultural Resources Commission. <br /> Executive Assistant to the Mayor Micah Alameda was present in the Kona Chambers to <br /> introduce Ms. Gamayo, who was also present in the Kona Chambers,to the Committee. <br /> Committee Members Heather Kimball, Rebecca Villegas,James Hustace, Holeka Inaba,Ashley <br /> Kierkiewicz, Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder, Dennis"Fresh" Onishi, and Committee Chair Jenn <br /> Kagiwada spoke in favor of the appointment. <br /> Pursuant to Chapter 2, Section 2-226(b)of the Hawai`i County Code,members of the Hawai`i <br /> County Cultural Resources Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the <br /> Council. <br /> Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the <br /> purpose and intent of Communication No. 228, and recommends confirmation of the <br /> appointment of Darde M.
