Hawai'i Food Systems SpeciaList, moving the position from contract to civil. service.
The Food Systems and Agriculture team inthe Department OfResearch and Development has been very
effective iDtheir support Of8grioUbU[eand farmers.
Each member of the R&D team touches a different part of agricuLture and food security and together they
ensure farmers' needs are addressed. They aLso take initiative to identify ways to Leverage opportunities
for economic growth that heip oUriSi8Dd diversify its income streams.
