Re: Provide Funds to the Hawaii Island Humane Society

The Animal Control and Protection Agency wishes to provide $50,000 to the Hawaii Island
Humane Society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. This grant will be used to support off -island
animal transport, on -island adoptions and rehoming efforts.
Enclosed is a resolution giving approval to the Animal Control and Protection Agency to provide
$50,000 to the Hawaii Island Humane Society, pursuant to Hawaii County Code (2016 Edition
as amended) Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A).
