�JMZV.os M,+�1 <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />Of <br />RESOLUTION NO. IG O 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE FRIENDS OF <br />THE PALACE THEATER FOR THE 2025 EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA. <br />WHEREAS, the Friends of the Palace Theater (FOTPT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization whose mission is to revitalize, restore, and sustain the historic Palace Theater as a <br />venue that educates, entertains, and inspires our diverse community; and <br />WHEREAS, FOTPT is assisting the Department of Parks and Recreation with the 2025 <br />Easter Extravaganza, a free community event on April 18, 2025, at the Dr. Francis F. C. Wong <br />Stadium; and <br />WHEREAS, FOTPT is requesting funds for the rental of a jumping castle and to <br />purchase bags of cotton candy; and <br />WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Liquor Control is to support <br />organizations and programs that provide drug -free and alcohol -free events, like the Easter <br />Extravaganza, for the community; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code, <br />Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br />resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br />activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Friends of the Palace Theater for the 2025 Easter <br />Extravaganza. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
