IGG 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S COMMUNITY <br />POLICING PROGRAM IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 3. <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Police Department, Community Policing Program, <br />is committed to working cooperatively with the community to enforce laws, preserve peace, and <br />provide a safe and secure environment through drug awareness, community mobilization, and <br />crime prevention efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, Community Policing Officers are assigned to every district on the island <br />and are responsible for developing partnerships within the community through its Bike Patrol <br />Program, HI -PAL Program, Community -Traffic Awareness Partnership Program, Neighborhood <br />Watch, Citizen Patrol, etc.; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting funds to purchase bike patrol uniforms, <br />tools for bike maintenance, bike replacement parts, Neighborhood Watch stickers, and banners <br />for community events in Council District 3; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Police Department <br />for its Community Policing Program in Council District 3. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $5,883 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief <br />010.201.5215.62 Police Department <br />HI PAL OCE <br />235 Misc.
