A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FOR THE KEAʻAU FIRE
STATION.
WHEREAS, the Hawaiʻi Fire Department (HFD) provides fire protection and suppression, pre-hospital emergency medical services, land and sea search and rescue, hazardous materials response,
ocean safety, fire prevention, and public education for the County of Hawaiʻi; and
WHEREAS, the HFD strives to improve departmental readiness for its emergency and hazard responses; and
WHEREAS, the HFD is requesting funds to purchase security cameras, air conditioning units, and fitness equipment for the Kea‘au Fire Station; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Hawaiʻi Fire Department to purchase equipment
for the Kea‘au Fire Station.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
