Subject: Statement of support for David Bruno for Ethics Board
Members of the Hawai'i County Council,
I have known David Bruno as a colleague and friend for 8 years. In that time, I have come to know
David as an honest, capable, and trustworthy individual.
I understand that he has recently been nominated for the Hawai'i County Board of Ethics. I
wholeheartedly endorse David for such a role. I have participated in hundreds of meeting with David
and consistently found his contributions to be thoughtful, insightful, and respectful of differing
opinions. I have witnessed his ability to have uncomfortable conversations with clients, delivering
bad news to them in an empathetic, compassionate, but firm and direct manner. David is a true
collaborator and a treasured colleague, I'm sure he will serve the board and the county well.
