There needs to be more discussion of what Big Island is turning into because we area I.I. the experiment on what cell towers do to the human body and wildlife. Are you doing any research about cell towers and health risks? There is NO link to show us what Bill 24 is. Will it help put more regulations on cell towers? Will it halt cell towers until more research on health risks is done? Cell towers need to be halted until more research is done about health risks and how to put them in place so everyone is safe. We have mountains here, and if a cell tower is built, the top of the tower that has the most radiation could be only a few feet from people's homes, roads, commercial shops...Please see photos of where cell towers are in Kona today. Has the Windwind Planning Commission done any health risk research since they want to remove the requirement for a use permit on cell towers??? Where is their research? Why aren't they putting more rules and regulations on cell towers because of all the new researched health risks? There needs to be serious discussion on the health risks of cell towers before removing permits, as the Windward Planning Commision Favors, because as smoking was in the 50s, and no one knew the health risks back then that smoking causes many different kinds of cancers, cell towers are now the risk for all of us. We are the experiment to see what happens to bodies, as smoking was for the people in the 50s. The American Cancer Society website used to say there are no known health risks from cell towers. Now, they are saying that "At this time, there's no strong evidence that exposure to RF waves from cell phone towers causes any noticeable health effects. However, this does not mean that the RF waves from cell phone towers have been proven to be absolutely safe. I'm asking for a halt on adding more cell towers because there needs to be discussion on cell tower safety as once they are built, it will be harder to remove them. I'm asking NOT to remove any permits but to add more rules and regulations on cell towers because people and wildlife need to be protected from an increase in cell tower radiation.
