RESOLUTION NO. 145 25
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION WITH EXPENSE RELATING TO THE HILO BAY BLAST
FIREWORKS DISPLAY AT HILO BAY TO CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY ON
JULY 4,2025.
WHEREAS,the annual Hilo Bay Blast, a long-standing and highly anticipated
community fireworks display celebrating Independence Day, is scheduled to take place on July
4, 2025, at Hilo Bay; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase
fireworks for the celebration; now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase fireworks for the annual Hilo Bay Blast fireworks display at
Hilo Bay to celebrate Independence Day on July 4, 2025.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $4,000
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5517.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $4,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
