Kimball, Council Member <br />District 1 <br />SUBJECT: Proposed Amendments to Bill No. 47; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 6 OF THE HAWAI`I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 <br />EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO TRANSIENT <br />ACCOMMODATIONS. <br />Transmitted herewith are proposed amendments to Bill No. 47. The proposed amendments are <br />shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 47; material to be <br />deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be inserted is underscored. Due to the limited <br />scope of these proposed amendments, a copy of the new draft of this bill that would result if the <br />amendments were adopted is not attached. <br />SECTION 1 of Bill No. 47, which amends chapter 6 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 <br />Edition, as amended) by adding an article, is amended by amending section 6-51(a)(1) to <br />read as follows: <br />"(1) The person or business first registers with the director of finance, which <br />registration must be made in a format and by a date prescribed by the director <br />of finance and include: <br />(A) A registration fee of $1,000; <br />(B) A signed acknowledgement of the registrant's responsibilities and <br />obligations under this division; and <br />(C) Other information, documentation, or content as the director of finance <br />may require;" <br />Comrn. o. 23� <br />Ref.
