OF k• ,11Ci <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I •� �' ��•I STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> ............... <br /> � <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 171 25 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE FRIENDS OF <br /> THE PALACE THEATER FOR THE 2025 EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA. <br /> WHEREAS, the Friends of the Palace Theater(FPT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization whose mission is to revitalize, restore, and sustain the historic Palace Theater as a <br /> venue that educates, entertains, and inspires our diverse community; and <br /> WHEREAS, FPT is partnering with the Department of Parks and Recreation to host the <br /> 2025 Easter Extravaganza,which is a free community event that will be held on April 18, 2025, <br /> at Dr. Francis F. C. Wong Stadium and will include an Easter egg hunt and other keiki-friendly <br /> activities; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations and programs that <br /> provide drug-free and alcohol-free events for the community; and <br /> WHEREAS, FPT is requesting funds for candy to stuff Easter eggs for the Easter egg <br /> hunt; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the FPT for the 2025 <br /> Easter Extravaganza. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
